Thanks for Successful Bingo Night

The Grocery Bingo held at the Bellview Community Center last Friday was a great success. Close to 100 people were in attendance, dozens of donated prizes were awarded, plenty of food was available and of course the bingo games were great fun for all. Proceeds went to Warriors Veteran Outreach.

Thanks to the community, local businesses and volunteers for their generosity. Special thanks to Linda May of The Modern Woodman of America. The MWA contributed matching funds to the vets and Linda did yeoman’s work organizing, pointing volunteers in the right direction and helped facilitate a smooth running event.

Hats off to George and Hortense Michelsen. George, a WWII vet, with the support of his wife have created a venue that has been bringing the communities together for decades. Aside from running the bingo games George and Hortense fielded questions, helped track down extra tables, chairs, moved groceries and provided guidance the many times they were called upon. A heartfelt salute from the veterans to both of you and a very happy 90th to George
