Ray J. Crisp: Obituary

Ray J. Crisp, age 76, of Murphy, NC passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 in Union County, GA.

He was born in Graham County, NC to the late Ed Sam Crisp and Mae Bonnie Anderson Crisp. He retired from Leaman Chemical and had worked as a truck driver for Duncan Oil. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of the Masonic Dooley Lodge #367 and the Macedonia Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother William Crisp and brothers, Robert Crisp and Joe Crisp.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Jerri Ruth Little Crisp; two sons, Brent Crisp and his wife, Lesa of Bakersville, NC and Ronny Crisp and his wife Loretta of Murphy, NC; one sister, Doris Newton of Dalton, GA; two grandchildren, Allen Crisp and Kayla Crisp; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 5:00 PM Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Townson Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Rev. Ronnie Crisp will officiate. Music will be provided by the Macedonia Baptist Church choir. Burial will be in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with masonic graveside rites conducted by the Masonic Dolley Lodge #367.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Townson Rose Funeral Home in Murphy, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Donna Cook, 1386 Cook Bridge Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
