Mr. Sherman William Morrow: Obituary

Sherman William Morrow, age 73, of Andrews, NC passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Buncombe County, NC.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC; son of the late Hartford and Edith Baxter Morrow. He was a self-employed painter. Sherman was a member and deacon at Trout Cove Baptist Church. Sherman enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry Herron; two brothers, Jack Morrow and Larry Morrow; and one sister, Marie Loudermilk.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl Morrow; one son, Richard Morrow and wife Michelle; five daughters, Marie Day and husband Dennis, Misty McDonald and Randy, Jackie Guffey and husband Chris, Shannon Runge and husband Josh and Vickie Morrow; one brother, Jim Morrow and wife Linda; six sisters, Polly Queen, Ruth Moneymaker and husband James, Patricia Patterson and husband Melvin, Judy Godfrey, Susie Patterson and Rita Madrigal; 26 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Jimmy Morrow and Rev. Bill Trotter will officiate. Burial will be held in the Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ricky Morrow, Brent Morrow, Michael Guffey, Matthew Guffey, Tyler McDonald, Dee Greene and Levi Whitaker.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy, NC.
