Mr. Tommy Earl Deitz: Obituary

Tommy Earl Deitz, age 80, of Hayesville, NC passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his residence.

He was a born in Towns County, GA to Buna Moody Deitz of Hayesville, NC and the late Oliver Deitz. Earl had worked for MGM brakes for 45 years in the Receiving Department. He was a US Army Korean War veteran. Earl loved his family, gardening and cattle. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Helen Louise Ross Deitz; sons, Perry Deitz of Hayesville, NC, Jimmy Allison and wife Glenda of Murphy, NC, Gary Allison and wife Teresa of Marble, NC and Larry Allison and wife Vivian of Murphy, NC; daughters, Vickie Johnson and husband Glen of Hiawassee, GA, Vickie Webster and husband Ronald of Blairsville, GA, and Kelly Burch and husband, Brian of Hayesville, NC; one brother, Carl Deitz and wife Gracie of Lawrenceville, GA; one sister, Helen Ledford of Hayesville, NC; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and special family friend, David Owen.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5 PM, Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Rev. Matthew McDaniel and Rev. Chad Chandler will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund, 50 Marvin Cabe Lane, Hayesville, NC 28906.
