Mr. Timothy Richard Roberson: Obituary

Timothy Richard Roberson, age 52 of Hayesville, NC passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Murphy Medical Center.

He was a native of Cherokee County, NC and the son of Rev. Richard Roberson and Doris Stiles Roberson. He was the director of Truett Baptist Camp in Hayesville, NC. Timothy loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Sharon Chastain Roberson; one daughter, Adrian Queen and husband Nick of Murphy; one brother, Kevin Roberson and wife Lisa of Pine Mountain, GA; two grandchildren, Stone Queen and Rylee Queen; one nephew, Nick Roberson; and several cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Rev. John Butler, Rev. David Feathers and Rev. Paul Ray Morgan will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Nick Roberson, Matt Burrell, Daniel Burrell, Gerald Chastain, Jerry Oliver, Nathan Harbin, Marty Jones and Tim Chastain. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Barnett, Chad McNabb and his cousins.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM to 1 PM, Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Truett Baptist Camp, 346 Truett Baptist Camp Road, Hayesville, NC 28904.
