Ray Dean Morgan, age 80 of Andrews, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Murphy Medical Center.
Ray was a native of Macon County, NC. He was a son of the late Julius and Elva Dills Morgan. Ray was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge # 529 in Andrews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Reva May, Christine Mason and Carmel Cope; brothers, Doyle and Don Morgan.
Surviving are his wife, Shelba Morgan; sons, Ray Edwin Morgan and wife Sheila, Benjamin Dean Morgan and Benjamin Davis Morgan; brother, Andrew Morgan and wife, Judy; sisters, Juanita Holden and Angie Bateman and husband Morris; grandchildren, Melissa Branscum, Justin Morgan and Joshua Morgan; great-grandchildren, Dalton Passmore, Blake Morgan, Logan Morgan and Natalie Morgan; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Andrews. Rev. Wayne McGuire will officiate. Burial will follow at Valleytown Cemetery with masonic graveside rites conducted by Masonic Lodge #529 of Andrews.
