Mr. Randall Delano Griffith: Obituary

Randall Delano Griffith, age 71 of Andrews, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at his home. Mr. Griffith was born June 19, 1945 in Murphy, NC to the late Noel Griffith and Grace Kathleen Lunsford Griffith. Randall was of the Baptist Faith, a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and working on cars. He had worked at Baker Furniture and Western Forge. He was preceded in death by son, Bobby Clontz.

Survivors include: wife, Helen Griffith, mother, Grace Kathleen Griffith, children, Dawn (Mitchell) Morgan, Teresa Christiansen, Troy Clontz, Carolyn Botones, Martha Pittman, grandchildren, Brandon, Marissa, Justin, Jason and Jacob, grandchildren, Eric, Jason, Amanda Juston, Adam, Johnathan and Eric, several great granchhildren, brother, Merill Dean Griffith, niece, Chris.

Funeral services: Friday, Jan.20, 2017 at Cochran Funeral Home at 2:00PM the Rev. Tony Raxter officiating. Interment will follow in Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by veteran organizations: Murphy VFW Post 10222, Joe Miller Elkin American Legion Post 96, DAV Chapter 73 and Clay County VFW Post 6812..

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy of Murphy, Thursday, January 19, 2017, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
