Mrs. Martha J. Wiggins: Obituary

Mrs. Martha J. Wiggins, age 74, of Murphy NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Murphy Medical Center nursing home following an extended illness. Mrs. Wiggins was born on July 21, 1942, in Hamilton, OH, the daughter of the late Robert C. Reed and Alvina Robertson Reed. Martha moved to the Murphy area 24 years ago from Florida. Martha enjoyed doing crafts, knitting, and thrift store shopping. Mrs. Wiggins was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mrs. Wiggins are her son John Johnson of West Palm Beach FL, daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Andy Duncan of Blairsville, GA, son Beve Wyatt of Blairsville, GA, sister and brother-in-law Janet and Ben Balzer of Murphy, NC, sister and brother-in-law Cheryl and Bernie Schlarman of Indiana, sister and brother-in-law Sandy and Mike Tipton of Ohio, sister and brother-in-law Brenda and Roger Garland of Ohio, sister Lisa Allen of Hamilton, OH, sister Linda Combs of Ohio, brother Richard Reed of Murphy NC, grandchildren Crystal & Steven King, Cassie Duncan, Drew and Tyler Barrett, Leslie Johnson, six great grandchildren, and many other friends and relatives also survive. She was predeceased in life by son Jeff Johnson and brother Robert Reed.

A funeral service for Mrs. Wiggins will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00am in the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing will start at 10:00 followed by service.
