Mr. Scott Scroggs: Obituary

Scott Scroggs, 56 of Warne passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at Chatuge Regional Hospital. Scott was born on February 14, 1961 in Asheville, NC to the late Harold and Doris Scroggs. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Scroggs, Jr. and an infant sister.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Charity Moss Scroggs of Warne, one son, Cory Heath Scroggs of Warne, one grandson, Levi Lane, one brother, Tim Scroggs and wife Lea of Brasstown. Also, he is survived by two aunts and a host of extended family and friends.

Scott enjoyed walking and photography and he was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and his grandson and helping others. He always had an encouraging word for anyone he talked to. His daily, encouraging Facebook posts will be missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Hayesville with Rev. Stewart Nicols, Kyle Cody and Chris Rumfelt officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Charity Scroggs, 1518 Ford Rd., Warne NC 28909 to help with incurring expenses.
