Bobby James Jones, age 82 of Andrews, NC passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Swain County, NC to the late Joseph Fred and Nellie Hall Jones. He had worked in auto parts and for the ABC store in Murphy, NC. He enjoyed gardening, flowers and riding his lawn mower.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Brooks Jones; daughter, Tammy Jones of Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Matthew May and wife Skye and Jordan Hand and wife Molly; great-grandchildren, Landon May, Dakota Arrow May and Mary Ellis Hand.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Bo Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in the Tomotla Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Annis, Landon Annis, Jimmy Carringer, David Lance, Heath Woodard and Dustin Smith.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 pm, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
