SMC Final Standings: Cherokee Boys and Girls Claim Regular Season Conference Title, Host Conference Tournament

The Cherokee Braves and Lady Braves have had a great year so far on the hardwood, hoisting both the boy’s and girls regular season conference championship trophies.

The Braves laid claim to the title thanks to last nights 74-68 victory over Robbinsville. The Lady Braves capped off their undefeated conference run with a 92-23 win over the Robbinsville Lady Knights, a contest where Lady Braves Guard Whitney Rogers had 30 points.

Swain County finished second in the boys race, followed by Robbinsville, Andrews, Murphy, and Hayesville.

The Hayesville Lady Jackets were SMC Runner-ups, as Robbinsville, Swain, Andrews, and Murphy followed.

The SMC Tournament starts tomorrow, (Thursday, February 14th) and all games will be held a Cherokee High School.

Swain and Andrews will kick things off on the girls side at 6:30pm, followed by Andrews and Murphy on the boys side at 8:00pm.

Friday we will see Robbinsville and Murphy girls take the court first, followed by Robbinsville and Hayesville boys.

The JV Tournament games will precede the Varsity games.
