Drama Lee Poe, age 88, of Murphy, NC passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in Clay County, NC.
She was a native of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late Agusta H. and Floya Mae Rowland Johnson. She was a Steering Wheel Inspector. Drama was a member of the Andrews Church of Christ. Her favorite hobby was gardening and she enjoyed working with crafts
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, David E. Poe; children, Yvonne Grainer, David Deitz, Gerald Deitz and Judith Goudey; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; step-children, William Poe, Laura Sawyer, Mark Poe, Shelly Boekema, Sandra Garriott, David Poe and Lynnette Poe; 18 step grandchildren; and 10 step-great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Minster Mark Sparks and Minister Robert Seibert will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
