(Hiawasse, GA)  – – Some of you are Googling what Pulchritude means and why I might use it in a story.  Discovering the meaning of that work is easily done by watching Franklin’s Tori Ensley.   Ensley is probably one of the best high school basketball players in the area.  Her “beautiful” play in the 57-to-43 Franklin win over Union County proves it by finishing off the day with 22 points, including four 3-Pointers.  The work by Ensley was complemented by Avery Moffitt and Cali Queen who were the number two and three leading scorers.  Franklin a near 2-to-1 lead over the Union County Panthers, a pace that lead to a ticket to Friday night’s tournament championship.

Ensley is a good basketball player, but has committed to NC State University for softball.

 

The Franklin Panthers have been working through some injuries and a few other challenges.  Coach Scott Hartbarger is pleased with the teams performance and with the advance to the Championship game.

 

Friday Games : Franklin advances to the Championship game 7:00PM.  Union will play at 4PM.
