Venita “Cooter” Phillips Love, age 94, of Andrews, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 in a Robbinsville care facility. She was a native and lifetime resident of Andrews. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Kelsey O’Dell.

Surviving are her husband of 72 years, John E. Love Sr.; three sons, Johnny Love and wife, Sherry, Tommy Love and wife, Diane, and Ronnie Love and wife, Wanda; four grandchildren, Greg Love and wife, Beth, Eva Love and husband, Chris, Crystal Odom and husband, Justin, and Jennifer O’Dell and husband, Patrick; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Revs. Eddie Hardin and Patrick O’Dell officiating. The interment was in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Love, Patrick O’Dell, Justin Odom, Chris Bernhart, Larry Dailey, and Lynn Roper.

The family received friends from 12-1:45 Wednesday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Venita “Cooter” Phillips Love to Meals on Wheels, PO Box 83, Andrews, NC 28901.
