William “Bill” Grady Burch, age 74 of Hayesville, NC passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 at Murphy Medical Center.

He was born in Jackson County, NC but lived much of his life in Gaston County, NC and Clay County, NC; he was a son of the late Grady William and Willie Mathis Burch. Bill worked in TV and Radio repair with Gibby’s TV in Hayesville, worked for Asheville Contracting in Road construction also in Hayesville and traveled with Barnum & Bailey Ringling Brothers Circus. Bill was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepmother Madge Parker Burch, brother, Melvin Burch; infant brother, Marvin Burch and one sister, Nancy Burch.

He is survived by two sons, Jamie Burch of South Carolina and William G. Burch, Jr. of Asheville, NC; one brother, David Donald Burch of Cherryville, NC; two sisters, Linda Burch and companion Donald Patterson and Geneal Patterson and husband Bobby Joe all of Hayesville, NC; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Curtis Ledford will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Hayesville.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
