Clarence Eric Campbell, age 48 of Murphy, NC passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at his residence.

He was born in Jackson County, NC to the late Ralph Campbell and Vivian Ledford of Murphy. Eric was a truck driver. He enjoyed helping people, Alabama football and working out. Eric loved his family. He was a member of Bealtown Baptist Church.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Will Campbell.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his two daughters, Samantha Carroll of the Peachtree community and Ericka Campbell of Marble, NC; two brothers, Roger Campbell of Chatsworth, GA and Ralph Eugene Campbell, Jr. of Murphy, NC; two sisters, Denise Baklid of Owen City, Florida and Donna Laren Poole of Easley, SC.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, January 3, 2015 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Ronnie Crisp will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunny Point Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derrick Penland, Jason Roberts, Dwight Estep, Jason Pinkerton, Hubbie Garland, Harold Garland and Steve Garland.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2015 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the BB&T Bank, Roger Campbell-Beneficiary, Ericka Campbell-Trust Account, US Hwy 64, Murphy, NC 28906.
