Nicole Ann Leclair-Kelley of Murphy, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 18, 2016.

She was a beloved wife, a loving mother, and a devoted friend. She was born on November 14, 1964 and was raised in Gainesville, Florida before moving to live with her husband and family in Thomasville, GA until she came to Murphy 10 years ago where she felt most at home. She earned degrees in Veterinary Technician and Environmental Biology from Abraham-Baldwin Agricultural College and Thomas University. She was in her last year of studying to receive a Master’s Degree to be a Licensed Counselor at Western Carolina University. Her many passions included her family, horses, traveling, being outdoors, and various creative endeavors.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, William Kelley; her son, Matthew Kelley, and her daughter, Rebecca Kelley; her parents, Robert and Virginia Leclair of Indian Land, SC and her sister, Michele Leclair-Giron of Cali, Columbia, South America. Others left behind include various uncles, aunts, cousins, a niece and nephew, and many friends.

A memorial service and visitation will be held at 11 AM, Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue or Last Chance Corral Rescue. Both can be found online.
