Velma Williams Rice, age 97, of Andrews, NC passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Valley View Care Center.

She was born in Stoddard County, Missouri to the late Chestine and Martha Kato Williams. Velma was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Rice; and her sister and husband, Sue and Dwight Wade.

She is survived by her son, Sonny Rich of Granite City, Illinois; and grandchild, Melanie Imholte of Soldotna, Alaska.

Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, Illinois.
