Emogene Ledford, 91, of Andrews passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 in an Andrews care facility. She was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County. Emogene retired after 30 years as a secretary for Reece Motor Company. She was a member of the Andrews United Methodist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Odell Candler and Myrtle Carrie Rowland Hall and the wife of the late Jack Ledford, who died November 4, 2009.

Surviving are a son, Jackie Ledford of Andrews; two grandsons, Alex and Daniel Ledford; a step-granddaughter, Stephanie Clark; and two great grandchildren, Tori Wilson and Savannah Yon.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in the Andrews United Methodist Church with Revs. Mary Brown and Derrick Palmer officiating.

The family received friends from 12-1:45 Wednesday afternoon at the Andrews United Methodist Church prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Emogene Ledford to the Andrews United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 1310, Andrews, NC 28901.
