Jerry Chase Carnahan, age 86 of Hayesville, NC passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 at his residence.

He was born in Council Buff, Indiana to the late Thomas and Mabel Carnahan. Jerry was a US Navy veteran. He worked for an electric company as a supervisor. Jerry was active in the Kiwanis where he was President of the Ocean Beach Chapter and Lt. Governor of the California, Nevada and Hawaii, Kiwanis District Chapters. He was former vice president of the Chamber of Commerce in Escondido, CA. Jerry and Betty were world travelers.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Parker.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Carnahan; two sons, Thomas Carnahan and Daniel Carnahan; two daughters, Sandra Nipper and Susan Martinez; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA with military graveside honors.
