Pete Ruble, age 76, of Murphy, NC passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Copper Basin Hospital in Copperhill, TN.

He was born in Blount County, TN but was a longtime resident of Murphy. He was the son of the late Huff and Evelyn Grant Ruble. Pete was a retired US Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War and receiving a Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. After retirement Pete was an owner and developer of Indian Rocks Spring subdivision in Murphy.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Jane Triplett Ruble; three daughters, Michelle Tolley and husband Bobby of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Heidi Moore and husband Brian of Murphy, NC and Nikki Raimondi and husband Damien of Tallahassee, FL; one brother, Albert H. Ruble and wife Dee of Cape Canaveral, FL; one nephew, Mike Ruble; six grandchildren, Robert Tolley, Brianna and Dalton Moore, Kylie, Kalyn, and Kelsey Raimondi.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Hopewell Baptist Church, West of Murphy, 215 Hopewell Road, Murphy, NC 28906. Rev. Matt Mull will officiate and Rev. Keith Blalock will conduct the graveside prayer. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites conducted by the North Carolina Active Military. The active military will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM, Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Hopewell Baptist Church.
