Jake David Mann, age 72 of Murphy, NC passed away Wednesday October 19, 2016. He was born August 8, 1944 to the late Glenn and Ella McClure Mann. He was a member of Mount Liberty Baptist Church and a Vietnam Veteran (1965-1967).

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Marie Mann and sisters, Francis Radford and Linda McDonald.

He is survived by his wife Stella Stiles Mann; son Jason David Mann of the home; sisters, Shirley Patterson of Cummings, GA; Betty Mann of Hayesville, NC and Carolyn Mintz of Murphy; brothers; Clay Mann of Hayesville, and Larry Calvin (LC) Mann of Soddy-Daisy, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Burial will be in the Swanson Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the V.F.W. Post #10222, Joe Miller Elkin American Legion Post #96 and D.A.V. Chapter #73 and American Legion Post #532 of Hayesville and V.F.W. Post #6812 Hayesville.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM, Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC.
