Margaret Bloom, age 81, of Murphy, NC passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her home.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late Claude R. and Etta Rhodes Kincaid. Margaret was a private extraordinary home caregiver for over 30 years to many families in the Murphy area.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Bloom of Murphy and her family, Daniel Nichols and wife Megan and his family, Bryan Chad Nichols and wife Amy and his family and Thomas “T.J” Nichols; Sharon Whitehead and husband Mick of Marietta, GA and their family, Courtney A. Newton, Megan A. Newton and Victoria L. Whitehead; she is also survived by her friend and family physician, Dr. Brian Mitchell.

Graveside Services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Scott Cole will officiate. Pallbearers will be Daniel Nichols, Bryan Chad Nichols, Ben Crisp, Jon Crisp, Thomas “T.J.” Nichols and Luke Nichols. Honorary pallbearers will be Mick R. Whitehead and Brandon Pendergrass.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1:30 PM, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
