Mr. Rea Colfax Williams Jr. age 80 of Chatuge Village Circle Hayesville passed away peacefully on Saturday Nov. 5, 2016 in the Clay County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. Williams was born on Sept. 13, 1936 in Indiana, the son of the late Rea Colfax Williams Sr. and the late Sarah Currier. He was a veteran of the US Air Force of the Korean War. Rea was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved playing the French Horn, shooting and gardening. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a preceded in death by two sons, Christopher and Gregory Williams. Rea was of the Christian faith.

Surviving Mr. Williams are his loving wife and best friend of fifty four years, Clara Williams of Hayesville, one son, Geoffrey Williams of Hayesville, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday Nov. 12, 2016 at 4:00 pm from the Marble Springs Masonic Lodge # 439 with Brother Greg Huskins officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Hurricane Disaster Relief in Mr. William’s memory. The family will meet with friends following the service.
