DOWNTOWN MURPHY, N.C. – We have some rainfall expected to last until about 5 p.m. today, Wednesday September 6, 2017, we should see that start to clear up by 5:10 p.m. There is not much, if any, rain expected in our mountain area again until early Monday morning.

You can turn your air conditioners off and start opening up your windows at night, average low’s in the 50’s during the evening hours all through the week and weekend.

You should expect a sunny weekend, for the most part, overcast on Saturday, but great for boating and fishing.

You might see more traffic than usual with potential hurricane Irma evacuees making their way north to escape this horrific storm. #HurricaneIrma updates will be posted via Twitter @FetchYourNews Weather Update FYN
