Mr. Stanley W. Manous, age 71, of Sawyer Cove Road, Hayesville, North Carolina passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Canton, GA, March 15, 1947.  He was the son of the late J.T. Manous and Emma Grace Adams Manous. Stanley retired from the Cherokee County School System. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Mr. Manous was of the Baptist faith. He was also preceded in death by a son, Todd Manous.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-six years, Phyllis Hazelwood Manous of Hayesville; a son Travis Manous and wife, Amy of Canton, Georgia; a daughter Arlana Humphries and husband, Richard of Hayesville; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Susan Manous Harris; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hufstetler officiating.   The interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Park, Canton. Pallbearers will be Jerry Lewis, Jonathon Manous, Cody Ackerman, Richard Humphries, Justin Hall, and Bill Huskins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday evening, July 6th at Barton Funeral Home.
