Fay Bowers Grizzle, 68, of Hayesville passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in a Chattanooga, Tennessee hospital. She was a native of Cherokee County but lived most of her life in Hayesville. Fay was a loving homemaker.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie Columbus and Lillie Wilson Bowers and the wife of the late Cline Ray Grizzle, who died August 20, 2017. She also was preceded in death by four sisters, Blanche Overman, Nancy Smith, Mary Gail Guffey, and twin sister, Willa Mae Grizzle; and four brothers, Carl Bowers, John Henry Bowers, George Bowers, and an infant brother, Burl Bowers.

Surviving are three sons, Carl Ray Grizzle and wife, Teri of Hiawassee, Georgia, and Kevin Grizzle and wife, Juli, and Rodney Grizzle and wife, Marsha, all of Hayesville; a sister, Linda Bailey of Burlington, North Carolina; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time. Helen will be buried with her husband in the Grizzle Family Cemetery in Russell County, Virginia.
