REPEAT THE PAST 2019

Opinion

BY CANDACE HARDIN LITTLEJOHN

A along time ago, Thomas Jefferson and few of his like- minded colleagues got together in anger
about taxation without representation, unfair laws and a monarch who wanted to control the
liberty of those in the colonies far away from England.
They wrote up a few words to express their wishes and declare the colonies and its citizens free
and independent from the Old Country. They formed a new Republic that was:

FOR THE PEOPLE

BY THE PEOPLE

It has been two hundred and forty two years since our third President penned The Declaration of
Independence on July 4 th, 1776. We are happy with the Republic and have no interest in
Socialism or Communism. We will pay our own way and those who do desire either of those two
types of government are welcome to go to Venezuela, China or Russia.
While this is not a declaration of independence, it is time to declare and remind those elected
officials of what We the People want and expect as well as who is in charge.

New DECLARATION OF THE United states

CONSTITUENCY

WE THE PEOPLE …
We the People have had enough of the bi-partisan hijinks, bickering and Deep State
corruption that is running rampant through DC. Some of which that has been discovered
recently borders on a treasonous coup attempt and must be contained at once.
We the People are coming forward to remind every member of Congress and the Senate of
a crucial fact; you work for US, The People.

We do not work for you. You are not an elected official in office to work for your power,
your position and your wealth.

An elected official’s sole purpose is to conduct business for
and labor in the will of The People.

You are not in your position to talk down to us, most of us have been running our lives as
best we can while laboring under your blunders and red tape for a long time. In general,
the populace is very smart and sure of what we want.

Contrary to your belief, you are not better than us. It isn’t necessary for you to decide what
is best for us assuming that we are stupid or unable to do so.
We do not want you working against those that have legally been voted into a political
office by an election.

THIS NEW YEAR THAT IS UPON US, WE WANT THE FOLLOWING
IMMEDIATELY

Our Bill of Rights fully restored. Repeal the Patriot Act and the NDAA.
No one is to infringe on a citizen’s right to free speech, the right to bear arms, protection
against search and seizure, et. al. to include all ten of the tenets of the Bill of Rights.
These are inalienable rights that we have and will keep.

NO ELECTED OFFICIAL SHALL WORK AGAINST THESE RIGHTS OR THEY
SHALL FACE PROSECUTION BY A COURT OF LAW. This includes any media outlet
of any type who tries to repress the free will or expression of any American Citizen.

Border security, a wall is one important and immediate step, but support of the Border
Patrol and ICE is key to continuing to deter those who want to circumvent our laws.
While we are a nation of immigrants, no one is entitled to residency or citizenship without
due process and by following the hierarchy of law.

The election process shall be returned to local and state control, freeing it from Homeland
Security. Elections should be fair, controlled by reputable officials, with oversights by other
impartial committees.

When the polls close, there shall be no more votes. Those needing absentee or early ballots
should have the state to make an alternative method for those in need of such services in
order to have the votes counted DURING and only during the voting process.

A free national voter ID card with picture issued by the Federal government needs to be in
place to deter voter fraud. Without said card, one cannot cast a ballot for any reason.
Cards should be surrendered and reissued if voter moves from one district or state to
another. Cards must be surrendered upon death.

Equal justice under the law is imperative. It is wrong to have two sets of laws, one for the
rich and powerful and another for the average person.

The FBI and the DOJ have to be returned to a non-partisan organization run by
scrupulous people who respect all of the laws and have the best interest of justice being
done for all, not just for some.

Voters want the elected officials to WORK on issues that affect the American People, not
try to out one of their fellows, or destroy a duly elected official with rumor and innuendo.
Elected officials should be law makers and defenders, not simply politicians, which can be
another name for a smooth con artist.

Elected officials should be liable to the laws and benefits that they pass for the American
People, i.e. they should be subject to Social Security, Medicare and whatever type of
universal healthcare they foist off on the people. The programs for their retirement and
healthcare should either be offered to The People or discarded, placing the elected officials
on a level playing field with the average citizen.

The Congress and Senate shall not have the power and ability to vote for their own raises.
This matter should be brought to a vote by the American People during every presidential
election. If The People are not satisfied with the performance of the House and Senate, no
raise may be forthcoming.

Education should be returned to the parents on a local level. They are the ones who know
what is needed in their particular area. American children should be subject to the values
of their parents and taught the basics of education in order for them to compete with their
peers in the world and workplace.

The United Nations needs to be scaled back in regard to the rights and privileges of US
citizens. We have our own Constitution, we are not interested in allowing the UN to dictate
what shall or shall not be done in the United States.

If they have a problem with this, the UN is welcome to vacate all of the prime real estate
that it inhabits in New York and find another place to set up their dictates and opinions.
Those who have served in the United States Armed Forces should have their needs placed
above any other interests. They and their families sacrifice a great deal to keep America
safe and should be honored and cared for according to their place in society. Without them,
there is no freedom, and freedom is not free.

This New Declaration shall be delivered to the House and the Senate. All who agree are
encouraged to sign their support and forward this to their elected officials.
