Murder in Murphy NC has a “No-Change” verdict on Day 3 deliberations

The jury has been in deliberations since Monday at approximately 3:15 p.m. after hearing about the evidence surrounding a murder committed in Murphy, NC in 2014. Today, at the close of court, the jury came back with a “No-Change” verdict against John Anthony Hill. Hill’s trial has been in session for nearly three weeks

Hill was accused of murdering “his best friend of five years”, Paul George Pfleiderer, Jr., age 57, a resident of the Peachtree community in Murphy.

Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department arrested Hill for the murder of Pfleiderer on June 29, 2014. Hill has been in custody at the Cherokee County Detention Center since.

Pfleiderer passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014, after sustaining massive blows to his head. Allegedly, Hill stated he gave as many as six blows to Pfleiderer’s head with an an aluminum baseball bat following a brief struggle at Hill’s home.

The jury deliberations center around what verdict to return against Hill.

Court will reconvene 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning in the Cherokee County Courthouse located at 33 Peachtree Street in Murphy.

    I think John Anthony Hill should be given the death penalty , he took a life so he should have to give a life ! Paul was a friend of mine and a very good person. IDK How many different Very Bad things I could tell you about ” Tony ” Hill in short he is just not a good person!!!
