(Towns County, GA) – – A game of runs proved to be an exciting one for fans and frustrating for Franklin and Murphy Coaches, Doug Plemmons and Erik Laney. Murphy’s Consistent shooting and tempo control by defense are factors that helped win the game 65-to-63. Murphy’s task on defense is clear that it had to control Cal Drake who shot 30 points including three 3-point shots. The Bulldogs appeared to frustrate the Panthers by increasing the tempo with a few run-and-gun efforts. The Bulldogs were not as successful with its shots by shooting 30% from anywhere on the floor. Trailing through most of the game, Murphy stepped up the defense and shooting to outscore Franklin 26-to-9 in the final period. Zack Skogen punched in the go-ahead shot and a free-throw with 20 seconds to go in the game to make the final score 65-to-63.

Bulldog Guard Dillian Brown says the game was a good exercise for Murphy to build its strengths.
