Murphy High Basketball Players Sign to Play College Basketball

Dominick Rummler – Piedmont University, Demorest, GA

Zach Sokgen – Averett University, Danville, VA 

Xander Wachacha – Truett McConnell University, Cleveland, GA

(Murphy, NC) – – Three Murphy High School senior basketball players are making their final commitments to play college basketball.  Dominick Rumler played center for the Bulldogs will play at Piedmont University in Demorest, Georgia (Piedmont University Lions)  this coming season.  Zach Skogen played forward for Murphy will suit up at Averett University in Danville, VA (Averett University Cougars).  Murphy Point Guard Xander Wachacha will play for the Truett McConnell University Bears (Truett McConnell University) in Cleveland, Georgia.

‘”We are so proud of these three men and what they have accomplished as athletes here at Murphy and they are taking the next step to play in college. We want to wish them the best and know that the Murphy family supports them all the way,” says Murphy High School Athletic Director Joseph Watson.
