Polly Ann Pack, age 74 of Andrews passed away Friday, April 8 2016 at her residence.
She was born in Andrews NC to the late Thomas Manuel Painter and Mattie Jane Dailey. Polly worked as a nurse at District Memorial Hospital in surgery for 20 years. She worked for Dr. Blalock at The Andrews Clinic until he retired. Polly then worked for Dr. Gary Roper until her retirement in 2002. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Second Baptist Church in Andrews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Grace Whitener of Andrews.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence “Shorty” Pack; two sons, Jamie Pack and wife Veronica and Jeffrey Pack all of Andrews; three brothers, Tony Painter and wife Dianne of Andrews, NC, Tom Painter Jr. and wife Louise of Marietta, GA and James Painter and wife Sandy of London, KY; sister, Sue Foxx and husband J.C. of Athens, TN; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Donald Watkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Pack, Chuck Davis, Jason Rowland, Jerry Phillips, Jeff Clark and Kyle Cartledge. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Jones and J.C. Foxx.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM, Sunday April 10, 2016 at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
