Polls open in Cherokee, North Carolina primary

CHEROKEE COUNTY, N.C. – A part of the first “Super Tuesday,” North Carolina voters are going to the polls for more than President of the United States on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Citizens are also voting on the down-ballot primary races today.

The local and state candidates for Cherokee County are as follows.

North Carolina voters do not have to provide a photo I.D. for the March Primary. In December 2019, a federal court order blocked the requirement from taking effect. This injunction will remain in place until further notice.

Poles will stay open until 7:30 p.m.
