Cherokee County, NC – Dr. Woody and the Cherokee County Board of Education are pleased to announce that they have selected Mrs. Allison Brown as the new Principal of Murphy Elementary School.

Mrs. Brown has served as an instructional coach, lead teacher, Pre-K program director, and assistant principal and has 24 years of experience working in Cherokee County Schools.

Mrs. Brown earned an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Science in Birth-Kindergarten Education, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education (K-6), and an Education Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership. She is also Nationally Board Certified in Early Childhood Generalist.
