Linda Kay Worley, age 60 of Murphy, NC passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Gainesville, GA.

Linda Kay was born in Cherokee County, NC to Readle and Bonnie Guthrie Hamby. She was an outdoors girl. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading and traveling.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Terry Worley; one son, Travis Mann of Culberson, NC; one daughter, Angela Higgins and husband Charles of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; three brothers, Daniel Hamby of Murphy, Wayne Hamby of Woodstock, GA and Carol Hamby of Emerson, GA; two sisters, Betty Beavers of Morganton, GA and Lucille Ware of Murphy, NC; four grandchildren, Austin Martin, Conner Higgins, Tyler Higgins and Rylee Jerez; and several nieces and nephews.

A Gathering of friends and family will be held from 4-6 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glenn Allen, Virginia 23060.
