Dan Johnson Jr., 72, of Hayesville passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 in a Murphy care facility. He was a native of Marion, South Carolina and lived in Washington D.C. and Asheville, North Carolina before moving to Hayesville a year ago. Dan was a retired employee of Mack Johnson Construction Company in Washington D.C. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He was the son of the late Dan and Queenie Johnson.

Surviving are two daughters, Vicky of Washington D.C. and Searra of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two sons, Lorenzo of Delray Beach, Florida and James of Hayesville; five sisters, Lillian Streets of Lancaster, North Carolina, Janie Mae Freeman, Trisha Johnson, and Wanda Nichols, all of Marion, South Carolina, and Jackie Johnson of Washington D.C.; two brothers, Robert Johnson of Brooklyn, New York and Mack Johnson of Washington D.C.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
