Judith “Judy” Ann Crisp, age 76 of Hayesville, NC passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at her residence.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Francis and Mabel Campbell. Judy moved to Hayesville in 1969 from Chicago, Illinois. She was a Cub Scout Leader and President of T-Ball in the 1970’s. Judy was an EMT, family caregiver and a caregiver to the elderly. She worked for Mountain Home Health; she made many friends. Judy was a member of Little Brasstown Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harris Gene Crisp; two brothers, Frank and Joe Campbell; and one sister, Kathryn Davis.

She is survived by three sons, Daniel Crisp, David Crisp and wife Pam and Douglas Crisp and wife Becky; adopted daughter, Tammy Henson; one sister, Nancy Fugiel of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Elora Skye Crisp, Jacob Liam Crisp, Joshua Silvers and Blake Mosteller; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church in Hayesville. Rev. Aud Brown and Rev. Wayne Matheson will officiate. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Patricia Ann Albritton

    Patricia Ann Albritton, age 76, of Andrews, NC passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at her home.

She was a native of Jefferson County, IL and the daughter of the late Harold and Edna Alexander Miller. Patricia was a hair dresser. She was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church. She was a strong christian lady, loved her family and church family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Betty Jane Martin.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Anderson of Robbinsville, NC; grandchildren, Melissa Blevins and David Blevins; great grandson, Hudson Blevins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 8, 2018  at the Cornerstone Community Church, 253 Robbins Road, Andrews, NC 28901. Pastor Marcus Larey will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Cornerstone Community Church.

Meshele “Missy” Ann Ladd, age 51 of Marble, NC passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

She was born in Roanoke, VA to the late Glenn “Bob” and Wesena Ladd. Missy was a graduate of Rutledge High School in 1985; she was most popular in high school; and graduated from Tusculum University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. Missy attended Hyatts Creek Baptist Church; she loved the Lord and going to church was a very important part of her life. She enjoyed singing solos. Missy enjoyed giving to people at the church at all holidays; she would have a little present for her church family on the pews as they came in. She recently enjoyed attending some services at Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church. Missy has many nieces and nephews that she loved. She enjoyed her four fur babies.

She is survived by her brothers, Jeffery Ladd, Alan Ladd, Tony Ladd, Mark Flippin, Thomas Flippin and David Flippin and special friends, Ruth and the late Rev. Parker Burgess and their son Joshua who loved Missy unconditionally.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. LB Adams will officiate. Music will be provided by Mike Moore. Burial will be in the Valleytown Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm, Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.

Nancy Ann Solesbee: Obituary

Nancy Ann Solesbee, age 73 of Nantahala went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday September 25, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late James and Anna Jean Cross. She was a wonderful homemaker, loving Mother and a member of Briartown Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Darwin and Samuel Solesbee and brother, Gary Cross.

She is survived by her son, Tim and Jennifer Solesbee; father of the children, Jr. Solesbee; grandchildren, Justin Solesbee and Amy Ortiz and husband Jon; brother Donald Cross and fiancé,Denise Totherow; sister-in-law, Janet Cross; nieces, Lindsay Cross and Maggie Brostic and husband Mark and a special aunt, Betty Shields.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm, Saturday September 29, 2018 at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm, Saturday September 29, 2018 at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Jack Hollowell will officiate. Pallbearers will be Pearly Owenby, Sidney May, Ronnie Bateman, Jon Ortiz, Kenneth Solesbee and Mitchell Owenby. Burial will be in Aquone Cemetery.

Marie Ann Spivey: Obituary

Marie Ann Spivey, 57, of Hayesville, died Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her residence. She was a native and lifetime resident of Clay County. Marie worked for Mohawk Industry and Clayco Corp.  She also worked as a certified nursing assistant for Clay County Care Center. She was a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late James and Edna Cothern Patterson. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Patterson; and two brothers, Allen and Butch Patterson.

Surviving are her husband of 33 years, Roger G. Spivey; four sisters, Lena Worley, Geneva Chastain, and Jerita Burch, all of Hayesville, and Marlene Bell of Warne; three brothers, Larry and Junior Patterson, both of Lavonia, Georgia, and Marshall Patterson of Hayesville; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018 in Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. Doyce Waters officiating.
