Murphy, NC- Franklin, Hiwassee Dam and Andrews showed up to Murphy High School on Wednesday evening ready to show their stuff at the first Bulldog Invitational of the year. The Bulldogs were the host school, and both of their boys and girls teams beat out Hiwassee Dam and Andrews for second place, but both Franklin Panther teams were able to come away with a first place finish.
Due to inclement weather, no field events were held during this meet.
On the boys side of things, Franklin really pulled away due to their hurdlers and their relay teams. They outscored Murphy by 24 points in those two events, and that was the difference maker as the Panthers won the boys meet, 101-81.
