Traffic stop leads to drug arrest of Murphy man

Murphy, NC— After executing a traffic stop, Cherokee County Deputies arrested the driver for possession of methamphetamine and cocaine on September 4.

Officers noticed a vehicle operating without rear lights on US Hwy 64 near Murphy’s city limits. They pulled the car over and the driver attempted to run away. Deputies searched Steven Brendle, 22, and discovered a trafficking amount of methamphetamine and cocaine.

Brendle was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine, as well as resisting Public Officer.

Brendle has made a $50,000 secure bond and has a September 15, 2021, Cherokee County District Court Date.

Murphy, NC— Sheriff Derrick Palmer announced the June 11, 2021 arrest of 33-year-old Jonathan Dwayne Crowder, 33-year-old Sheena Renee Dockery, 30-year-old Lindsey Ann Lemon of Murphy, North Carolina, and Kristi Michelle Crowder of Blue Ridge, Georgia for charges stemming from violations of the North Carolina Controlled Substances statutes.
On May 11, 2021, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office issued a search warrant in Murphy. During the search of the residence trafficking amounts of methamphetamine and heroin were seized along with a stolen motor vehicle.
Jonathan Dwayne Crowder was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Maintaining a Dwelling for use, storage, sale of controlled substances, and Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle. Crowder was released on a $20,000.00 secure bond and has a July 01, 2021, Cherokee County District Court date.
Sheena Renee Dockery was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and released on a $2,000.00 secure bond and has a July 01, 2021, Cherokee County District Court date.
Kristi Michelle Crowder was charged with Possession of Heroin and released on a $5,000.00 secure bond and has a July 01, 2021, Cherokee County District Court date.
Lindsey Ann Lemon was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Trafficking in Heroin. She is currently incarcerated in the Cherokee County Detention Center under a $50,000.00 secure bond and has a July 01, 2021 Cherokee County District Court date.

Two Blue Ridge residents arrested in Cherokee NC

MURPHY, N.C. – Cherokee County Sheriff Deputies discovered drugs, drug paraphernalia, stolen firearm, and cash on tow Blue Ridge, Georgia individuals while conducting a traffic stop on September 1.

Law enforcement stopped Haley Farr, 21, and James Willingham, 36, and after Farr failed to stop at a red light. They shortly uncovered 8.7 oz of methamphetamine in their possession along with various other stolen goods.

Deputies arrested Farr on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of stolen firearm, carry conceal, failure to stop at a red light, fictitious tag, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, and Maintain vehicle, dwelling place.  Her bond was set at $100,000.00

Willingham was arrested for conspiring to traffic methamphetamine, possession of stolen goods, failure to appear, and extradition of fugitive from another state. He bond was set at $67,500.00.
