Short Takes – Just Another Shooting?

The multiple murders at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in South Florida was absolutely preventable! Yet, the organizations capable of preventing it, did not, could not, or would not, for whatever reasons, take action against a known potential danger because of the fear of social backlash from one group or another because it would interfere with their agendas.
The shooter, by all appearances a mentally disturbed young man, had a developing history of violence in school. He was even forbidden, individually, from bringing a backpack to school. Were school officials afraid he might put a weapon in his backpack? Probably! And then ultimately, because of his anti-social, erratic behavior and explosive temper, he was kicked out of school to become somebody else’s problem. The school, and the school district had no more interest in what became of this young man.
Red flags were everywhere. He was an orphan. Both his parents had died within the last two years or so and he ended up living with another group of young men his own age, unsupervised and by all accounts, collecting his wrath like a gathering storm until the hate that was festering so deep within his bosom was finally released on his former school mates.
Immediately, Democrats and gun grabbers fashioned this as a “gun violence” issue. Nonsense, It was a violence issue, by a recognized mentally unstable youth, possibly drug induced, with a gun who directed his hatred at the very school that kicked him out. His passion expended, he left in his wake a trail of more mental problems, shock, despair, disbelief, all the traits found in soldiers suffering the effects of PTSD, “shell shock.”
This boy, Nikolas Cruz announced his intentions as far back as September 2017. He went on record as wanting to be a school shooter when he posted a YouTube video to that effect. The video, recorded by a Mississippi man was immediately passed on to the FBI with a screen shot, and it was short and alarming: “I’m going to be a professional school shooter.”
Almost immediately, on 25 Sept. 17, law enforcement agents in Mississippi contacted the viewer to determine if he knew Nikolas Cruz or if the threat came from a Mississippi resident. He didn’t and It didn’t! That represents the first and only positive effort by any agency to have tried to thwart Nikolas Cruz. Where was the ball dropped? Who dropped it and why?
So, what happened? The FBI, apparently alerted agents in Mississippi who responded, but then what? Did the FBI follow up? Was Cruz identified as a Florida resident? Was the Broward Co. Sheriffs Office alerted at any point? If so, did some staff Intelligence collector set the FBI’s report off to the side for later action?
“FBI agents did contact the Mississippi man again, after the shootings, to ask if he knew Cruz. He didn’t. That’s a clue to the failure of bureaucracy and trusting in an over worked government to be able to take quick effective action.
Raw intelligence, like the Mississippi man provided, is fungible. Expressions of violence posted on social media sites require emergency action. Federal agencies, like the FBI, are fixated on Islamic Terrorism, yet there are other sources of raw intelligence immediately available that would also have revealed Nikolas Cruz, his fellow students. Post shooting interviews of some students, who knew him, said they were not at all surprised at what he did.
Generally, children in high schools won’t talk voluntarily to the schools resource officer and report on their school mates, but many may actually post a “Secret Witness Note” in a box provided for that purpose. Even a “Secret Witness” social web site could be created but, whatever, these disturbed young people must be identified early and treated.
Laws must be effected that permits such reports so long as they remain constitutional. But, nothing will assuage the heart-breaking questions the families of those seventeen people killed by Nikolas Cruz can answer. The threat was there, the threat was known if not suspected and the ball was dropped. Whose is going to answer for that?
Finally, a word about the unmentioned contributor to the problem, the mind control drug industry that keeps boisterous youth drugged with prescribed mind altering drugs that forces their quite compliance so school administrators are not bothered by boys being boys.
The perpetrators of every single school shooting from Columbine in Colorado to Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, including the church murders in Charleston, SC, were by young men who had been diagnosed by school authorities with behavioral problems correctable by mind altering drugs.

Desvenlafaxine (Pristiq) is an antidepressant associated with 7.9 times more violence than many other drugs.
Venlafaxine (Effexor) is related to Pristiq and is an antidepressant also used in treating those with anxiety disorders. Effexor is 8.3 times more associated with violent behavior than other drugs.
Fluvoxamine (Luvox) is an antidepressant that affects serotonin (SSRI), and is 8.4 times more likely to be linked to violence than other medications
Triazolam (Halcion) can be addictive and is a benzodiazepine that supposedly treats insomnia. It’s 8.7 times more likely to be associated with violence than other medications.
Atomoxetine (Strattera) is often prescribed to tread ADHD and is 9 times more likely to be associated with violence.
Mefoquine (Lariam) treats malaria and sometimes products bizarre behavior, and is 9.5 times more likely to be linked to violence.
Amphetamines come in many forms and are often used to treat ADHD (even to children not diagnosed with ADHD). They are 9.6 times more likely to be linked to violence.
Paroxetine (Paxil) is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) antidepressant. Many users experience severe withdrawal symptoms and are more likely to produce children with birth defects as well as 10.3 times more likely to be linked to violence than other medications.
Fluoxetine (Prozac) is a household name for a powerful SSRI antidepressant linked with 10.9 times more violence than other drugs.
Varenicline (Chantix) s administered to smokers to supposedly help curb cigarette cravings, but it’s a whopping 18 times more likely to be linked to violent behavior than other drugs.

“The Memo,” when it was released, confirmed what we all suspected. There was enough corruption at the highest levels of the bureaucratic deep state to ensure that the rotted political establishment that feeds it, should survive. Corruption in government cannot exist without the protections of suborned, rogue police elements dedicated to keeping it in power. So far we see the DoJ, FBI and IRS filling those rolls. The leadership of other government Intelligence agencies may be also. But, in the end, Ya gotta win those elections,
Former discredited Director of the FBI, James Comey, now performs as a shill of the DNC. He is still attempting to neutralize the impact of “the Memo” and those who produced it, accusing his detractors of “being patently political as weasels and liars.” Comey even applied the metaphor of “McCarthyism” to todays politicians for the actions they took to bring down the “honest reputation of the FBI” (read: the Deep State in his meaning). In doing so, Comey forgets the FBI’s role in aiding McCarthy in conducting his witch hunts for Communists in the 50’s.
What we have now, as McCarthy predicted back then, is Marxists running our government. I do not say Comey is/was a Marxist but the Clintons and the DNC, no matter how they wish to call themselves, use Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” as the guiding principles on how they conduct their relations with Republicans, Americans and to change a Constitutional government. Comey, Mueller, et. al. are simply “Useful Idiots,” sustaining their own sinecures by cooperating with the party in power until their own corruption is complete. But, to sustain it, until complete hegemony is achieved by the Marxists, they still gotta win them elections!
The frenzy of loss and despair from loosing power is eating the Democrats alive. A whole year latter with an economy spiraling upward, rising employment numbers, a growing stock market and looming prosperity, the dysfunctional Democrats are bewildered about how to save their sinking ship. Their only hope lies in the 2018 mid-term elections and their only message, so far, is ”we all hate Trump because…” and here you can fill in the blank with any pejorative you wish.
The Democrat party has been boxed in by President Trump over the illegal alien business and what to do with their offspring. Nice words like “DACA” are applied to give a soft, inoffensive meaning of legitimacy to criminals so that soft-hearted Americans will accept as inevitable, the citizenship of 1.2 million illegals, not 800,000, into our country. Also, Democrats cannot explain how the violent crimes these Illegal aliens have brought with them can be of any use in a constitutional American society. Therefore, they apply words like “diversity” and “Inclusion” to assuage our feelings about what’s really going on in the violent America they creating.
Democrats must win nearly all of the congressional and senate seats up for grab in 2018 if they hope to survive at all. That they continue to demand the Mueller investigation proceed, even after no evidence has been found to implicate President Trump of any connection with the Russians, it stays viable because the equally corrupt main stream media keeps it there.
Sadly, the little things like evidence and commons sense stand as no barrier to Democrat paranoia. Nancy Pelosi babbles on whenever a microphone is shoved in her face even forgetting who the President is. Schumer is nearly in hiding, the black Democrat caucus are in total denial, and Hispanic Democrat politicians are realizing how out of touch they are even with their own constituency. We’re on a winning roll to Make America Great Again. Lets keep it going!

Schumer’s Shutdown, The Dirty Secret.
The Schumer Shutdown was a calculated ‘game of chicken,’ two objects, amnesty for illegals vs. building a wall, objects hurtling headlong at each other to an inevitable collision. For one side to achieve success the other side must give up, move away and yield the field. Failure to do so should be like the immovable object meets the irresistible force, a smash up of incalculable violence unless, of course, one of the objects was squishy. Hummn?
The calculation has always been predictably the same, with the same outcome, Democrats win, Republicans lose. But not this time. No, this time one of the energy forces was Donald Trump, not a Republican, but definitely a leader. The Republicans haven’t enjoyed real adult supervision like this since Ronald Reagan but, they haven’t yet moved to embrace Trump.
Schumer, secure in his arrogant insouciance, called for a government shutdown and Trump didn’t respond! He all but laughed off Schemers threats, ignored alarming the public and very efficiently hung the shutdown debacle around Schemers neck, and it drug him down.
The media was shocked by Trump’s handling of the “Dreamer” negotiations. “Why, that was not how the game was to be played.” But nobody told Trump. Negotiations are supposed to be conducted between the political parties, a consensus arrived at and a bipartisan bill placed upon the President’s desk that he was expected to sign. Not this time. Trump made campaign promises and he expects to fulfill them. The non-Republican President already knew what he wanted, and he told them so. The mere political expectation for the usual order for things, heretofore designed to meet Democrat demands, amnesty for all without a wall, simply wouldn’t pass muster for President Trump. Shock, OMG!
Trump didn’t get involved in the detailed negotiations, he simply told them he would have the wall before any amnesty for illegals would even be considered. Schemer thought he could call Trump’s bluff, with the American people behind him. But Trump wasn’t bluffing. It took two days for Schumer to realize that Americans weren’t with him after all and he give up, a first!
Schumer’s dirty little secret in this game of chicken is the dangers of underestimating Donald Trump. For over the first full year of his presidency, Trump has continuously demonstrated his ability to connect with the people on all the issues the politicians ignore. Trump is absolute in trusting his instincts and he knew he would prevail because he understands the peoples gestalt far better than poll takers, precinct workers and the fake news media.
More importantly, Trump clearly doesn’t trust Republican leadership either, locked as they have been for so long in the policy of failure. We see changes here with Paul Ryan realizing where genuine conservative leadership comes from and adjusting his position in the House. Mitch McConnell is slowly coming around too. The taste of victory is sweet and delicious. The taste of failure, a first for Democrats, is like the bile rising up from an upset stomach.
What is Trump’s secret? First, he doesn’t even try to appease the NYT or Washington Post or, more especially, CNN. He doesn’t need their approval because nothing he could do, short of quitting, would ever earn their respect. Instead he attacks them as the purveyors of fake newsies and propaganda they have become and therefore he delegitimizes them as trustworthy sources of real news. The people love it and Trump knows it. We can’t afford to lose this man, he’s a fighter!

Sorry, but using Johnny Carson’s stage entry line as a metaphor in an essay may be a bit churlish but damn it, it fits. That cheap schmuck Barak Obama simply couldn’t stand it anymore and had to come clambering back onto the political stage like he was really wanted.
Trumps robust America, almost out of the starting gate, is more that any marxist should have to endure. Barak’s brand of economic and social Obamaism that we endured for eight long miserable years, produced nothing meaningful for American except to apologize for Americas needed role of world leadership, import Islam, throw open our borders to the worlds peasants (voters), destroy American culture and kill American production and freedom by high taxes and over regulation. In the end, all he created was a “Deep State” that is struggling for its very survival under Trumps incessant pounding. After all, the State must be preserved at all costs.
So here comes Barak, the slick tongued, greasy used car salesman and community organizer, trying to claim credit for Trumps instinctive economic triumphs. He no longer apologizes for Americans supposed failures, but denigrates Trumps robust economy as actually the result of his policies of onerous regulation and oppressive taxation. They would have come to full bloom if only he had had a few more months. He trashes Trumps foreign policy as dangerous and war-mongering but his own policies, leading from behind, proved more dangerous to a stable world.
Comparisons in leadership, which he promotes, cannot stand comparison.
So, as expected, Obama slithered out of his dark hole to protect his legacy. Yes, he has one but its a legacy of failure in social, economic, political and foreign policy. According to Obama’s calculations, Trumps robust economy, the low unemployment numbers, higher incomes and jobs for all, wasn’t really the product of that awful Donald Trump, but was an economy he had primed and ready to spring upon the world if he had had just one more term. Oh, really?
Obama still draws a crowd of college students, but they don’t scream and holler like Trumps crowds do. His admirers cling to the hope that only Obama’s brand of Socialism can possibly succeed for America. Yet, the democrat party is morphing right before our eyes into something potentially dangerous if Conservatives don’t take to the stage as well to kill the dragon.
The Democrat Party is caught between a rock and a hard spot because the old socialists that made up the party for decades and have run the party into the ground, still retain leadership despite the dementia we see creeping in. They are now being challenged by an even more radical left-wing brand of Marxists in the guise of ignorant young millennials heartened by Bernie Sanders near success at achieving the 2016 Democrat nomination. They bought into the ‘entitlement for all’ notions, are not taking kindly to the current elderly democrat leadership.
Their disappointment was when it was revealed that Sanders was beaten out of the nomination by the skullduggery of Hillary’s Democrat machine, and that will not be forgiven. The new Marxist even have their own “shock troops” in the guise of Antifa’s and BLM’s for street deployment. And their politicians, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, et. al, are there to stir the pudding of what was once gentlemanly political debate.
America faces a crisis. The Marxists can still count enough voters, even dead ones, to change the character of local politics if conservatives don’t stay prepared. We must get out and vote. Big Government, What is It?
What the hell is going on up there? Mueller’s attempts to bring down Donald Trump because the “Left” demands it is a fiasco, a total mishmash of lies, innuendos, false reports, foreign spies and traitorous Obama administration officials at the highest levels of the FBI, CIA, DIA and DOJ, doing everything in their power to strip Americans of their prize, the swamp drainer in the White House. It’s the Deep State walking all over themselves trying to prove one thing while proving the other. Trump didn’t do it and Hillary did. So there!
This whole tawdry business of leftist political dysfunction, all because they thought the criminal, Hillary Clinton would be a “shoe in” for president instead of the Bronx Buffoon, Donald Trump, is telling. Conservatives must festinate the demise of the Democrats.
The evidence against Clinton’s criminality is so transparent, so pervasive and so prima facia conclusive that it’s incredible she’s not already in the dock. This includes her entire plethora of criminal hangers-on and job seekers willing to suborn their souls for socialism. It has already permeated the ranks of those we call the “Deep State” or the regulatory state, or the federal bureaucracy, however you wish to call it. The deep state also includes the world’s International banks, the military-Industrial complex, as “Ike” warned us to be aware of, and the education-union collaboration, among other corrupted groups. Follow the money.
The Deep State is the sole creation of Congress, several decades of ‘em in fact, a collection of bickering adolescents unable to do the job the Constitution has outlined for them. Instead, being too busy, they authorized the creation of countless bureaus, agencies and departments, each empowered to make the thousands of pages of rules and regulations in the Federal Register designed to control us, rob us of our freedoms and enslave us to big government.
The Left attacks us through political correctness on several fronts: the threats of climate change, racism, homophobia, Islamophobia, hate crimes, white privilege and the fearful armed citizen who stands in the way of their takeover control of a subdued America’s economic engine.
They fear armed Americans. As for climate change, any geologist or paleontologist can tell us about the earth’s history of climate change by just looking at fossils and exposed rock strata’s. Thats a non story. As for “Gun Control” that’s a protected right given to us in our constitution and must be defended at all costs, yet, the Left continues to attack the one thing they fear, freedom.
Conservatives must argue that the “Left” wants us disarmed, not because of school shootings or the odd murder or robbery. Those are mere tactics. Shootings won’t stop regardless of any more gun law, so confiscation is their answer. When we’re disarmed, we can’t protect ourselves from the hoodlums, gang members and car jackers who ignore the laws anyway.
If they succeed, the unarmed citizen, no longer able to defend himself, will have to demand government protect them and they can’t. Being armed is our right but how we feel about exercising that right doesn’t matter to them. it becomes clear that our “rights” as given to us by our Founders, are unalienable. The “Deep State” permits government to allow or rescind gun possession not upon the whims of a majority opinion (democracy) but by law.
Elections count and the socialist hoard of young millinials now clambering to become politicians have already drunk the “Kool Aide” of socialist poison that threatens our existence. Beware! Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (03Aug18)

GOP’s Success or Failure?
Trumps success by his individual determination to return pride and economic success to
America with his non traditional bash ‘em policies that “elite" politicians simply do not
understand, is leading the political change in American. Some call it the Trump Train, others
thinks it’s hogwash. If the GOP, even with its few elite rogue elements still holding office, fails to
keep the House, America is in for a very rough ride indeed.
A few Republican politicians understand that we are in a historic cycle of desperately needed
political change and are working to keep Trump’s momentum going. Like him or not, Trump is
making things happen for the best. Does the compassionate conservative of a bygone era,
Ohio’s Governor John Kasich, really believe he can top Trump by reengaging the GOP in the
coils of socialist government elitism? I seriously don’t think he can.
If that were so, then why is the GOP still fearful of a “Blue Wave” in this coming 2018 election?
Is there a “Blue Wave” coming or is all rhetorical media BS designed to frighten voters into
voting Democrat? Democrats have nothing to offer that remotely even compares to Trumps
success. All they can do, and are doing, is filling the airways with peripheral nonsense.
The non ‘Freedom Caucus’ GOP members of the House know full well the dangers of the
Marxist Democrat party regaining power. They want a complete reversal of Trumps economic
success (4.1% growth) so citizens will again become dependent on government provided
Socialism. They want open borders for the worlds immigrants to flood in and they want
sanctuary cities for those already here illegally. if the Senate were to go along with a Democrat
House, then Trump would be removed,“tout suite.” Gone would be his tax cuts, American jobs,
prosperity and freedom. The reward will be an immediate reorganization of the welfare state,
socialized health care and open borders and with it the promise of a Socialist utopia, a la,
Venezuela. When will they ever learn?
To date, remaining members of the GOP ‘elite’ class, still cling to the vain hope that the now
completely phony Mueller inquiry will find something against Trump that will ensure his removal
and the survival of the corrupt deep state, and protect their role in it.
The GOP’s problem is, unlike Trump, they don’t keep their promises. They promised smaller
government and grew it bigger. They promised to balance the budget yet threw it into overdrive.
They promised to repeal ObamaCare and didn’t, and Trump had to do it piece-meal. They
promised to fully, fund and build a wall along the southern border, stop borrowing money that
runs up the national debt, and cut taxes to sustain Americas economic revival.
It is no secret the House has been in need of new leadership. It has a GOP ‘elite’ with Paul
Ryan at the helm but, as it turns out, he is part of the problem and can barely disguise his own
contempt for the President. Ryan doesn’t see the future through Trumps eyes so, because of
the growing in-house opposition against him, he has thrown in the towel and will retire in
November. Until then, the House remains effectively, all but leaderless.
The Freedom Caucus is gaining hegemony in the House with Rep. Jim Jordan in the main role
as Speaker. The old guard still have McCarthy and the bullet ridden Scalise as popular choices
but the scene has changed and their brand of leadership, designed to save the un-savable, will
no longer satisfy the base. It’s time to get on the Trump Train and Make America Great Again.

Independence Day, Can We Keep It?
As Americans, we see that the focus of the rising tempo of incivility in our public discourse has moved from politics to issues of culture and we must ask why? Well, it’s because for America, the political arguments have already been settled although one side won’t admit it. It’s settled because of our Constitution which gives us our inalienable rights. The defense of that document has risen exponentially to the assault on it.
The great struggle now, between constitutionalists and the marxists has morphed into the cultural arena that avoids the distasteful facts of logic, truths and law, those trivial little items that impede their move to socialism. Its tenants, protected by “political correctness,” allows PC proponents to range widely in their destructive process of changing America’s culture, if not its laws, before the people could catch on. It almost worked, then along came Trump!
Political Correctness is the hand-maiden of diversity, multiculturalism, socialism, fascism and communism. It is the vehicle used to change our cultural norms. For example, once, the important emphasis taught in school was on the proper use of the English language. After the Civil Rights law era, It was abandoned as a requirement specifically because of diversity, inclusiveness and multiculturalism. Some couldn’t or wouldn’t understand it. Today, our language is a mishmash of Babel. That’s only one aspect of the Lefts hidden attack on Americas exceptionalism. If they can’t read or write, they’re going nowhere. That applies to all races.
Political correctness requires no authority. it survives on the precept of exclusion and fear. It exists solely on what “group think” determines to be correct and uses the power of the mob, whether its the media or the Hollywood Leftists, or the street thugs like Antifa and BLM, to challenge, almost daily, our Presidents authority. It is this fear that keeps us everyday, working class Americans in check because our side doesn’t do what they do. We are constitutionalists and expect the rule of law to function. We relay on debate and persuasion to make our choices and we are not prepared, yet, to bash heads
For the Left, political correctness denies the “free exercise clause” unless it’s for them alone. That requires disciplined adherence to group think or blind allegiance, and to disagree with them, is to invite the wrath of the Lefts public approbation like the rejection Kayne West is now experiencing for his apostasy.
The theater of the street, now extended into the dining rooms of public restaurants, has become the stage for the Lefts threatening noisy attacks on constitutionality and civility. Screaming over the objections of others and drowning out other opinions is the Lefts only way to stay relevant. They intend to paralyze the process by division and political polarization and until Trump, they were succeeding. That being the case, how does the once successful union of American politics and culture survive in the future? Apparently it won’t. The Left is engaged in an all or nothing battle to kill our independence and move us into the common ranks of a one world government.
To be in politics is because those are paying jobs, even if it costs more to get the job then the job pays. There’s a contradiction there, surely? But, with the job however, comes the reward of legitimate authority, until the next election. Since the authority gifted by elections is essential to the Lefts agenda, they will take all steps necessary to ensure the Left does not lose those elections. So far, it’s not workings quite well as as they had hoped. It’s our Independence day, not theirs. So enjoy it. It’s Independence Day, not July 4th. Let’s try to keep it.

American’s, Starved For Decency
“Live and let live” was once a cherished but un-codified phrase that kept us from punching each other’s headlights out over minor disagreements on any number of subjects. It has been swept away by the political philosophy of socialism that demands complete control over everything, the rule of laws be damned. At the local level it’s best seen in the rising incidents of road rage.
Democrats calling for “resistance” have shed all pretense of civility to “live and let live.” It’s to be their way or no way. A year and a half out, they still haven’t grasped the truth that they are no longer in charge of the federal government. All that’s left for them is to yap and snip at the heels of the real leader we now have in Donald Trump, and his supporters.
The politeness scenario that once guided our debates, has been swept away by hysterical
Democrats desperate to retain any claim on power. Three successive national elections have left Democrats stunned. Searching for other methods of maintaining relevance and with no more arguments left in their playbook except “Stop Trump”, they have turned to their chapter on anarchy and are actively encouraging attacks on conservatives through intimidating, in your face name calling, screaming spittle frothing epitaphs and character defamation screeds. When democrats wielded power they used the Dept. of Justice and the now corrupted FBI, not to mention the IRS, to eliminate their opponents. For Democrats, civility is gone, lies are commonplace and to ignore all ideas other than their Marxist scribblings, is expected.
That simple phrase, “live and let live,” encompassed principles that, along with an understanding of the ten commandments, guided us as citizens to live together in peace and harmony and accept the differences. We went together to the 4th of July parades and picnics, the evening fireworks, Veterans day events and all the pro-American programs that reflected American’s pride, and we did it without fighting one another. Americans are starved for decency.
The Socialist theories of economic control, that has taken over the whole of the Democrat Party, and has infiltrated GOP ranks, might explain why Republicans have long been accused of not fighting back, but going along to get along with the Socialists to the point of even agreeing that what the Democrat-Socialist party wanted was really good for America.
Our streets are on fire and it’s the Democrats doing. Alarmed American’s quickly organized under the Tea Party banner to figure out a way to do what the Republican weren’t doing, fighting back. But, Tea Party members didn’t run around attacking Democrats, destroying property or stealing campaign signs from supporters yards, or defacing bumper stickers.
When Republicans controlled only the House of Representatives, and the Tea Party was clearly considered a dissident group in danger of actually damaging the “Deep State”, liberal politicians, MSM journalists and “Moderate Republicans,” saw no need to be civil toward the Tea Partiers and the stage was set for where we are today, both parties in disarray, as they should be, and little can be done to remedy it. Nothing heals faster than open wounds, properly treated.

Apparently, the Tony award’s were on last night. I didn’t know. It was in todays news when it was revealed once again, that the IQ level of actor Robert DeNiro, who publicly expressed his deep level of disdain, or rather his hatred for President Donald Trump, hadn’t changed.
When a celebrity uses only base rhetoric to express an opposing political opinion, such as using the one word that best describes one of life’s more pleasurable functions betweens the sex’s, as a statement of fact, then we have achieved the collapse of polite discourse and the sure sign that DeNiro’s “Peter Principal” level has been reached. DeNiro has achieved his highest level of intellectual attainment, a triumph of idiocy over debate. To the cheering Hollywood crowd, his word is final, but nobody really cares anymore, do they? Now, it’s only a news item.
The world is focusing on historic events: the just concluded G-7 Trade summit, the ludicrous after Trump statement by Canadian Premier Trudeau, the land creation going on in Hawaii and the land melting event in Guatemala, not to mention President Trumps mission to Singapore for a singular historic event, the first ever summit meeting between a North Korean despot, Kim Jung Un, and the President of the United States, and we are favored with DeNiro’s opinion.
We are in a whirl of world shaping news events to the point we almost can’t keep up and an aging pretty good movie actor, DeNiro, of no specific intellectual achievement, chooses a medium most Americans have stopped viewing, award shows, to offer up once again his learned opinion on the President of the United States.
What DeNiro reinforced by his tirade was that the Hollywood of today is no longer important except as a money raising machine for Democrats. Hollywood is disappearing, much of it having moved right here to Georgia. Most Americans already know what DeNiro thinks about conservative politics and it’s newest spokesman, Donald Trump, so we can safely ignore it.
What hurts most is the wild cheering by attendees applauding DeNiro’s version of the “truth” as DeNiro so cunningly expressed it. Some call the actor an “outspoken critic” of Trump, and he is but, who cares anymore? DeNiro can never speak his opinion without employing the lowest level of his rhetorical skills, using the “F___” word again and again. Maybe it’s his highest level.
These seemingly constant televised award shows by the entertainment industry patting itself on the back, have morphed into political action exercises by the Left to confirm their anti-American, anti-conservative and pro-Clinton opinions. They do it in the certain belief that simply because they have achieved celebrity or get a nomination to receive a silly trophy that has to be dusted once a week, that their opinion really matters. That is a delusional level above which people with excessively highly developed egos, like movie actors, rarely advance. The odd man out of course, is Donald Trump. His ego is his driving force and achievement, its reward.
Hollywood once expressed America’s culture in great movies; the culture that defeated the Nazi’s, the Japanese and later, economically, the Soviets. That’s the culture that drew thousands of intelligent immigrants to our shores to become Americans, not the culture of Hollywood today, demanding social changes Trump won’t give them. Theirs is the culture of political correctness, profane ideas and nasty words. Theirs is the culture of sexual exclusivity, diversity, inclusion, glorifying sodomites and multiculturalism, the direct antithesis of Americanism. Trump has changed the formula for success and they can’t stand it.

The answer depends on what drives ones personal social, religious or economic opinion. One media source warns of a coming war and asks should we be concerned? We’re already at war.
Other sources warns that the government is poised to seize all our bank savings and we should convert to gold, while yet other sources warn of Biblical prophecy coming together as a precursor to Armageddon and the second coming of Jesus. Oh, my! So much to worry about.
Currently newsworthy is the Democrats hysteria over Trumps cancellation of talks with Kim Jong Un. The media screams Donald Trump “was forced to cancel” talks with Kim Jong Un and by extension, Trump, failing to follow the norms used by previous Presidents when dealing with North Korea (capitulation), then all is lost, Trump is incompetent and war is inevitable.
Well, no, Trump wasn’t ‘forced’ to cancel anything. Initially, Trump seized an opportunity to pin Kim against the wall when he accepted Kim’s suggestion for a”summit.” It will only be a surprise to politicians who have no clue about how a poverty stricken, brutal Stalinist regime that is North Korea, operates when squeezing the “West” for sustenance. They have followed their same format for sixty years and Trump called them on it. Even now, Kim is begging for a resumption of the talks. Kim is caught between a rock and a hard spot.
Unknown to the Democrats is Trump’s mastery of the art of persuasion. Trump is not a politician, he’s a doer and whether one negotiates with despots like Kim or for bank loans, the tactics are still the same and most American politicians simply do not have the skills to face off with the likes of a Kim Jung Un, Mano a Mano. Trump has seen ‘em all and he’s holds a strong hand in a game of which he changed the rules. The Joker card is absent from the deck.
Kim’s ploy was as predictable as the coming of elm blight in January. Arrange the meeting, claim actions by the other side are provocative and threaten to withdraw if they are not stopped, redo the effort and finally, alert the North Korean military on the DMZ to battle stations, fire off a few artillery rounds into the Sea of Japan and wait for the Western politicians to capitulate as they have always done. Trump doesn’t play the game that way as we have seen.
I like Nancy Pelosi. She stands as a stalwart exponent for the advancement of conservatism. With her comments on Trump’s foreign policy skills, vis a vis Kim Jung Un, nobody could be better positioned then Nancy Pelosi to drag the Democrat party further into the dim morass of really stupid ideas then she. I ask, what is “a giggle fit?” Months ago Pelosi said: “we must do everything we can to engage North Korea……” then when Donald Trump made it happen, she turns the Democrat party into obstructionists. Actually obstructionism is a bit harsh, because the Democrats are all but powerless, so they are only left mocking the President’s efforts. Where is that “Blue Wave” and when is it going to get here?
How could cancelling the 12 June media event possibly be a “setback” for US foreign policy when the predicable reaction of Kim Jung Un, comes to fruition? Kim will come back to the table. He has to. He has no other choice. The economic squeeze is on and even his back channel sources will be challenged and stopped. Follow the money. Too, he has to look over his shoulder wondering what China’s demands are if he doesn’t already know. China doesn’t need Kim. It just needs to keep the US Army away from its North Korean border. Talk about the rock and the hard spot.

A Contagion of Mental Illness
Dementia appears to be a growing phenomena in our society, but really, it’s simply because there are more of us. But, for a whole group, a body of singular individuals to display the disease of mass hysteria, now infecting the Democrat party, is alarming.
Well, maybe not, Remember the Jim Jones mass suicide by poison event in Guayana a few years ago? So maybe it’s not so rare. The Jim Jones business was supposedly a Christian sect under siege while the loser Democrats bow the knee of fealty to the church of Progressivism and are distraught that the rest of us don’t. Their brave new world plans are in tatters.
In any event, while medical science strives to understand and control the causes of individual mental illnesses, they have no idea how to control the growing phenomena of mass hysteria that is consuming the Democrat-Socialist Party.
It is easily identifiable as Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) and reveals itself daily in some form of collective outrage. Perhaps we can call the Democrats the “POP” or the Perpetually Outraged Party because that’s what they’re doing.
The November 2016 election triggered the spark that drove the POP’s nuts when their beloved candidate, Hillary Clinton, got ‘snuffed out’ by the populist, Donald Trump, even when they firmly believed the fix was in and she couldn’t lose. The POP’s failure to elevate Hillary Clinton to the Presidency as one who would validate their worldview, was more than their body politic could bear thus, the derangement antics to which we are now witness.
Understandably, the symptoms of derangement are not limited to the Deep State bureaucrats who technically do run the government as we see with the Mueller road show. The sickness has even spread out to little towns, like Lexington, in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, famous only because the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) is there and the Cadets once participated in a battle against the Union Army at New Market, losing five, and now the Red Hen Cafe fiasco.
The POP’s, totally incapable of containing their dissolution, is spinning out of control like a leaderless Antifa mob bent on making their point. Illuminaries like Maxine Waters, determined in her own mind to impeach Trump, rails against all logic, froths at the mouth directing her small cast of followers to confront conservatives when ever they see them, especially Trumps supporters and employees, and ignores pleas from her leadership to tone it down. She hasn’t and she won’t. For the GOP, she’s the gift that keeps on giving Thank you, Maxine!
Poor Nancy Pelosi no longer counts. She just sits there bewildered muttering nonsense that an embarrassed press ignores to save her the shame of acknowledging her approaching dementia.
Today, the POP’s ire is directed to stop the final nail being driven in their Socialist coffin, Trump’s expected choice of another Conservative jurist for the Supreme Court. They are helpless to prevent it. To their twisted logic, it is intolerable that Trump, the Populist, should be able to fill the court with constitutionalists.That wasn’t the way the game was planned to be played. The court was theirs to pack, not Trumps.
Like the Red Tide that occasionally shows up on Florida beaches killing the fish, the Red Tide of Trump’s populism is invading the Blue pool of Democrats Socialism. The outcome is inevitable.

Twenty years ago our government was in the hands of a misogynist, but popular nincompoop, one William Jefferson Clinton. His tawdry life’s experiences, beyond his official duties, is too painful and sordid to repeat here. We all know the tale. What we don’t know was why the idiots in the Democrat Party rallied so hard to keep him in office. Because he led the agenda called “The Third Way” and maintaining ‘the agenda’ was far more important than the man.
A Washington Post article dated 9 Aug.1998, by E.J. Dionne, titled “The Big Idea,” explained why Democrats stuck with Bill Clinton throughout the Lewinsky scandal and his impeachment for lying. The article also introduced us “the Third Way.” Dionne wrote: “most of Clinton’s party will support him as long as they can. They see him…as the only figure who can make the party’s case.”…Until they don’t!
Thomas Friedman wrote in the NY Times: “if there was no hope for the Agenda, what need is there for the man?” Friedman conceded Clinton’s personal failures and opined that perhaps he indeed needed to go,…. to save the agenda.
Bill Clinton went sailing with Walter Cronkite, a confirmed globalist who totally subscribed to a mandatory one world government to prevent a catastrophic third world war. At least that’s what he said in his book, A Reporters Life. Cronkite advised Clinton he should resign so the Agenda could proceed. Cronkite wanted the worlds nations to yield up their “precious sovereignty”…and establish a World Executive and a Parliament of Nations. We see how successful that has been with the European Union and the failing United Nations. It’s not working well, is it?
None the less, for a short while even the media joined in in asking for Clinton’s resignation. This was also the time of the Soviet Unions collapse and the new Russian Premier, Boris Yeltsin, calling for a Third Way, needing American support. Perhaps a savior at last!. Clinton’s White House press secretary, Mike McCurry said “For us, it has always been true, the policy matters more than personality.” In other words, the agenda transcends the man.
Clinton’s decision not to quit stands in sharp contrast to poor ol’ Richard Nixon who statesmanlike, resigned his presidency when he was advised to. Democrats are not statesmen but socialist driven aparatchek’s and their goal is still The Third Way, a one world government.
The real power brokers didn’t want Clinton to quit.because that would have ushered in the climate idiot Al Gore, to “heal the nation.” They knew that Gore lacked the charisma to drive their grandiose scheme but, If Clinton like Nixon, was driven from the field, then who would become Gore’s VP,? It had to be someone with the charisma to advance their agenda. No-one in the Democrat party fit the bill so they looked around and guess who they saw? Why, our own Newt Gingrich already a popular Third Way proponent. This may explain why Republicans don’t fight the Democrats. They’re all cut from the same cloth with the same agenda!
Then came Bush’s Compassionate Conservatism, or socialist lite, who couldn’t get it done; then the great black hope, Barak Obama. How did a nobody, with no history, no records and no achievements, become President so fast? Was a fix really in? But, alas, he couldn’t do it either and tried to pass the ball to Hillary Clinton, who hated him, just to save the Agenda. He hated the Clinton’s too, but “The agenda” mattered most. With Donald Trump, their whole plan is in abeyance. There is a Deep State and It is controlled by the oligarchs of the world banks.

Where We’re Going
It now stands without question, after James Clappers admission under the withering tongue blathering he received from that pillar of elite intellectual liberalism, Joy Behar on the “View,” that he, James Clapper and John Brennen, heads of their respective spy agencies, conspired with the FBI’s Comey, to spy on the Donald Trump campaign (Watergate x ten). The genesis for this seditious activity is simply that the criminal Hillary Clinton, lost the prize to Donald Trump. That loss left the doors open and the chickens are fleeing the roost.
Democrats truly believe that Donald Trump is a clear and present danger to (their) America and “resistance” to him is absolutely necessary. It’s “all hands to the oars,” that sort of thing. It’s amazing to see how fast their cunningly crafted house of cards is collapsing under Trump’s refusal to be bullied like any normal Republican would. They’ve become deranged at Trump’s success, befuddled by their failures to bring him down and distraught they cannot counter his successes. They are bereft of any arguments, plans or policies that would benefit America. That is why they cling to their foolish notions of a Trump-Russian collusion. But, it’s OK they did it!
Now their ‘resistance’ has passed far beyond simple dissent, it’s sedition; It’s not disagreement, it’s total hatred. We can hate the Democrats. We can suspect it’s they who are the worst thing happening to America, but we can’t work with them because they don’t play by the rules. They created their own rules that voters have rejected and, when they consistently reject the results of elections they don’t win, then all that’s left is the potential for anarchy.
Democrats have ruled for so long that they see themselves as the only legitimate power in the country. Whenever Republicans exercise power, as Trump is doing, it’s illegitimate and he faces the consequences of Impeachment. When Obama did the same things, he was praised for his brilliant leadership. The double standards there are choking, but Democrats, supported by their propaganda machine, the mainstream media, are never affected. Forget it, let’s move on.
What prompted this essay is the clumsiness of James Clapper to keep his stories straight, and the near violent reactions of John Brennan to the demands for the release of documents from the FBI and DoJ to the Congress that demands them. Brennan is near apoplectic in his reactions. Clapper and Brennan, as heads of their respective spy agencies, according to Clapper on the “View,” did spy on the Trump campaign. That’s one chicken out of the roost. There is no possible excuse or subterfuge that can obscure their treasonous act(s).
Their problem was, they failed to use the professionals in their agencies to do the dirty work relying instead on a host of foreigners, democrat office workers, in house savants of the FBI and the compliant media to protect their backs, by clouding the issues and promote their lies. Federal bureau heads seem to screw up simple operations, making mistakes the professionals under them would never make. To coin an old phrase, C,C. & B. “let the cat out of the bag.”
Republicans now hold the reins of complete power, and don’t know what to do. But, what do the Democrats do? They set about, right or wrong, obstructing Trumps initiatives trying to save Obama’s agenda through the federal courts and what’s left of their bureaucratic deep state. When a federal judge issues an order telling the President of the United States he cannot perform this or that function, then that’s like the first guns fired at Ft. Sumpter. Has it started? Yes it has, but a long time ago. It could get very messy now. We must be prepared.

Short Takes – A Return to the Draft? A Memorial Day Thought

Suggestions are swirling again about a return to the draft. For those born after the 1960’s, the draft was compulsory military service for two or more years. Throughout America’s history from the Civil War to Vietnam, different rules governed who was drafted, how one could get a deferment or a buy out, or get a political commission to work his time on a staff. That was all rife for abuse, and, it was abused.
Deferments were applied to account for medical reasons like, say flat feet and lung diseases, but a medical officer at the induction stations would make that decision. If you got your notice, you had to show up for induction and if you passed, your life changed forever.
Political deferments for celebrities, politicians and sons of politicians, like Ted Kennedy, were created while many others, stood up, begging their way into uniform. John Kennedy and his older brother did so. They weren’t famous then but their father had been US Ambassador to the UK. Hollywood stars flocked to the ranks during WW2 and did their duty as the government needed, including combat.
The draft was a numbers system, most draftees going into the army. With usable skills, one could be enrolled in a technical program for training as a mechanic, medic, or radio operator, otherwise, it was into one of the combat arms, Infantry sucking up the most. Only a few draftees ever went into the US Marine Corps or the Navy, because they filled their needed quota’s with volunteers. Many escaped the draft by school deferments and some when drafted, ran away to hide. During the Vietnam war, it was to Canada.
Many, eager to fight, volunteered to join a combat arm. That’s where the action was. For many, it wasn’t until they were covered with blood, sweat and the brains of their buddies, that they realized the awful truth about combat. It’ was then when a boy became a man and what he experienced would stay with him for the rest of his life. Every Memorial Day reveals more of these stories as the old Vet’s pass away.
Since 9/11, the military has had no problem filling its ranks with volunteers.These patriotic young people, with a few exceptions like Bowie Bergdahl, stay the course and remained loyal active members of their units. Many re-enlist to continue the fight and many comeback without limbs, emotionally traumatized or forever needing care. Some alas, never come back.
America celebrates these fighters twice a year, Memorial day and Veteran’s day when the sacrifices of our military men and women are recognized and honored. How many people do you see today stand to attention when the American flag passes in review? Veterans always do. It’s honor and sacrifice.
The problem with a return of the draft today is that most of our youths are not qualified. They have been subverted by an education system, its teaching ranks filled with the anti-war radicals from the 1960’s, like the Clintons. Our schools have failed to educate our young people about Americas traditional values and why we fight, or have lied about our history making it hateful. That’s a sad but true fact. The one great pool of true Americanism, the Boy Scouts, is being perverted into a potential pool for pedophiles.
Do we need a return to the military draft? I don’t think so! To recreate a program that expects its personal to perform, even to die on a battlefield, but turns many of them into deserters requiring efforts by the military to keep them, was never good for moral. Cowards in the ranks reveal themselves quickly and their whining can bring the moral of a whole unit down to their level of defeatism. Too, a new draft would now necessarily demand the inclusion of our daughters. Those that want to go, can do so now. Those that don’t, should stay home and tend the home fires. Today, on this Memorial Day, just be thankful Hillary Clinton’s not President. That’s worth cheering about.

Short Takes – Protecting Our Schools

As expected, the school shooting outrage in Florida will soon run its course. Why? Because the Democrats immediately politicized it by blaming the NRA and organizing anti-gun rally’s around cooperative high schoolers, many still traumatized by the drama they just experienced. Their purpose, once again, is to set the anti-gun agenda they believe will garner them more local Congressional representatives elected to congress by an outraged populous.
Polarizing the issue as the Democrats have done, ended any hope for an intelligent discussion. In affect, democrats want the issue but they will fight any logical solution to solving it. Without a gun, that boy could have as easily run the students down with a vehicle. Then, you wouldn’t hear democrats scream “blame the UAW, ban all cars.” If you get the chance, ask your Democrat candidate for congress: “Do you support the Constitution?” A simple, logical question. If they say “yes!” then ask them “why are they running as a Democrat?” Make ‘em answer!
The anti gunners blame the 2nd Amendment and its supporters for America’’s violence problems with guns. The Constitution, because the founders could not possibly have foreseen it, does not answer the problems of young teen age boy’s, drug induced in schools because they are boisterous young teenage boy’s, doing violence with guns.
Like the Florida shooter, these drugged up young me are “getting lost in the rabbit hole of mental illness,” in and out of government social service counseling activities, staffed by people who are convinced they are doing good but weighed down by sheer volume of referred cases, so that no one gets a solution to their problems. We cannot continue to simply treat the symptoms after the offense, “tsk, tsk” the problem until it goes away or until it blows up in their faces, like the Florida tragedy. Everybody who needed to know, knew the potential danger.
The Democrats focus on the 2nd amendment because it is the only block to their goal of the totalitarianism they want for America. They can never succeed so long as Americans are armed, protected by the 2nd Amendment and willing to defend themselves from an out of control government.
Is there a solution to hardening schools from outside attack? Yes but it costs. The most effective security for stationary targets requires at least three concentric lines of outer defense extending thousands of yards. But a school wouldn’t expect to receive incoming artillery or mortar fire so the distant threat doesn’t really exist except it be the unknown, individual threat, like Cruz, that must be discovered and neutralized at that outer range. Police intelligence.
Neutralizing Cruz could have been a perfect exercise in local police efficiency fulfilling the long distance threat portion of the outer circle defense plan. Where was the weakness in the Florida incident? It was a failure to communicate, by the FBI, that did have the information necessary to neutralize the threat, but didn’t act on it.
It is here where the defended target, the school, needs to have daily updated Intel reports from the local sheriff or police dept. on potential threats. It should be an inexpensive daily habit of communication. In larger cities, these exist. NYPD for example rivals the CIA and the FBI in overseas intel collection. Their sole purpose, to protect NYC.
The second inner defense ring, and still thinking about schools, is a prepared readiness reaction team of trained police, think SWAT, ready to respond to a threat by hardening the target with their in view presence and/or detectives searching out the threat. The cost for a continual police presence is prohibitive but, a proper response plan will fulfill that gap and could even cover several schools in any given urban area.
The inner most target, the school itself, is the last line of defense. Schools, especially large ones, should have choke point entries manned by officers capable and trained to shoot and neutralize a threat. The day of the old retired policeman hired as an armed security guard and friendly with the children, is over. Armed teachers are not the answer either without them being willing to undergo a weeks worth of eight hour a day firearms training and quarterly re-quals.
Prison guards, not jailers, are perfectly trained for this purpose. That is the minimum level of training that should be required for school hardening that I would recommend.
The argument against that is that administrators “don’t want to turn their schools into prisons.” The logical response is, “do they want to turn them into graveyards?” Florida, Columbine and Sandy Hook, Aurora, among others, stand as a sad stark reminders of that level of thinking.
Finally, the security at target should be totally separate from school administrators interference and interactions with faculty and students. Armed police should not patrol hallways. Once a school gets used to the outside omnipresent security, silent but visible, then the educational atmosphere of freedom and safety returns, the civilian culture of anxiety dissipates and the security issues fades away, Basically, they feel protected.
Quickly, concern dissipates and nobody cares anymore. It’s that nobody cares anymore idea that is an eventual result after every such tragedy. With a trained security force, unrelated to the school administration, schools can return to their main function, education. Who really remembers Sandy Hook or Columbine any more? Long and all but forgotten.

Tonight, President Trump will give his first State of the Union speech. It should be a doozy. I
expect it to be a complete success because every speech Trump has made has been a signal
success, except to the Marxists acolytes of the media and the Democrat party.
The Democrat party is in disarray. As things are now going, with the departures of many “deep
state” congressmen and senators of both parties, plus the coming departures of many of the
higher echelons of the FBI and the DoJ, complicit in the pro-Hillary, anti-Trump cabal, reflects
that another of Trumps campaign promises is being fulfilled, draining the “Swamp.”
He will not mention these tawdry issues in his speech because the President is focused on
success. He will remind people of his successes with the growing economy, the reduction of the
regulation state, the collapse of Obamacare, the leveling of free trade policies and the legislative
horror that is illegal immigration being reconstructed on his terms. He will focus also on the
necessity of refunding the military to face off against the Islamic forces that endanger America.
This SOTU speech could actually be rather short because the media have already told us
what’s wrong with the present state of the Union claiming that it’s Trumps fault, but they can’t
argue against the growing success that really is Trumps fault. The media continues to deny that
the Democrats and Obama specifically, had any responsibility for the economic success
America is now experiencing.
Trump’s been in office one year and the economy shot off like a rocket. The incompetent,
feckless Obama stepped up and attempted to claim credit for it and was all but was laughed off
the stage. He’s as silly as Hillary and her “Never Ending Story,” who showed up to cheers at the
sad Grammy awards ceremony to continue her screed that she was cheated out of the
Presidency. She’s the gift that keeps on giving. The Grammys turned out to be a far left wing
televised Hollywood political rally to continue the assault on Donald Trump.
The left, under the leadership of the high ranking theologians of the church of Progressive
policy, Schumer, Durbin, Feinstein and Pelosi, are reeling in confusion wondering what’s
slapped them in the face. It was Trump and the SOTU speech should add fuel to the fire that is
consuming them.
I believe the President will be polite to the Democrats inviting them to help him solve the
immigration problem. Democrats will call, as they always do, for “comprehensive bipartisan
legislation” to help those “Dreamer” children remain here and become citizens. Trump will offer
the hand of agreement and they will refuse it. Schumer has already lost that battle but the
deranged far left will badger him into committing another error in calculation.
Trump is anything but stupid. He understands the power of words, maybe not how to use them
himself, but how others use them. “Comprehensive” is a word Trump knows simply means
capitulation to Democrat demands for amnesty. He will not going there.
Finally, the FISA memo may have been released by today. Trump will ignore it. He’s already
made his case against allegations of collusion and, the Mueller Investigation, apart from being
cluttered up with Hillary acolytes, is becoming a bore to the public. Time is on Trumps side. He’s
making America great again.
Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em.
